Simultaneous interpretation is interpreting almost simultaneously with the speaker, and it is rendered to the target-language listeners via their earphones. It is usually resorted to during large-scale events. It is used for faster rendering of information saving time, although accuracy is not 100%. For the best results, it is advisable to provide substantial information on a topic of interpreting including presentations, slides, proceedings, etc. in advance. Simultaneous interpreting usually requires special equipment while whispering can be done without it.
